The group, in its extensive travels to hotels, lodges and luxury tented camps has noted that the level of luxury attained in the by gone era has been replaced with simplicity, economics and a deterioration in style, elegance and service. It is our goal to ensure that this is brought back to life through the development of Amara, a luxury travel collection of tented camps around Tanzania.

It is paramount to the success of Amara that the chosen location is in line with our vision and to the success of the future development of the luxury camps. What the guests need is to experience ‘the real Africa’ and not some tourist destination where management and staff have no obligation to provide a service reminiscent of the 1950’s.
AMARA will strive to achieve the correct balance between ecological and community sensitivity requirements and the profitable and efficient operation of the business as a result of excellent service. We would like to follow two distinct paths for developing and promoting social involvement:
(i) The first is the promotion of good social interaction between tourists and members of the local community. A context for encouraging respectful interaction and exchange between locals and visitors needs to be developed and the ways in which such a platform for interchange will be created.
(ii) The second way we propose to promote social involvement is through investment in the improvement of education, health and infrastructure of the surrounding communities.
